Elder Futhark rune set
Made out of a hazel branch from the forest near my home in Switzerland and hand-engraved in pyrography. The wood of this branch is composed of two shades of colours and beautiful growth rings are visible, which make this set quite unique and special. Only 2 rune sets have been crafted out of this branch.
The hazel is known by the elders as a symbol of wisdom and knowledge. Among other trees, the dowsers favour hazel branches to locate hidden water streams and other minerals and elements. Druids are said to have chewed hazelnuts to attain inspiration and knowledge of something hidden or lost.
Coming into a handcrafted linen pouch, adorned with a blueberries embroidery on the front for some extra-help with clear vision (indeed, blueberry medicine is used, amongst other things, to improve the vision) and ornamental embroidery on on the closing part. The pouch is comprised of two sets of cords ended by beechwood pearls. Pull on the cords with light pearls to open the pouch and pull on the ones with dark pearls to close it.
Ready for you to personalise, consecrate, or whatever you feel like to do to connect with it, make it yours and use it.

Some runists have no affinity with Wyrd (the blank rune) and prefer to work only with the 24 symbols. Up to you to include it or not in your practice.
Size : diameter of the runes ~25 mm, thickness ~5 mm.
Please keep in mind that this rune set is completely handcrafted and made out of organic material. Each wooden piece has its own shape and particularities, as each rune has its own meaning and vibration.
